There is not an general membership offered for use of HHAC. The center offers many activities, events and classes each month. Some activities have a cost such as the use of the pool, circuit gym and wood shop. Many other activities like the table games offered every weekday afternoon are offered free of charge. Other activities don't have a specified charge but donations are requested.
Yes, absolutely. HHAC is a private non-profit organization which is open to anyone 18 or older to use and isn't limited to residents residing in the city limits of Uvalde.
No, Anyone age 18 and older can use the facility and get involved. While a majority of people who come to the HHAC are older adults, We have all ages of adults who come participate in our many activities, classes and events.
Generally speaking, HHAC is specifically suited for adults 18 and older. Our pool, exercise equipment, exercise classes and wood shop are ONLY for adults 18 and older.
On occasion, their may be certain classes or activities where children can participate with an adult present.
Due to insurance reasons, our indoor pool is not rented out for private parties or children's pool parties.
No. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 12:00 Noon.
Occasionally there will be special events held at HHAC on Saturdays and Sundays such as our Market Days, Gospel Night Out and more.
